S Vaikundarajan respects the medical profession and is happy to know that the Indian Medical Association or IMA is planning a grand celebration to honour the doctors across the globe and especially in India.

The India Medical Association (IMA) is based in Vadodara city of the Gujarat state in India and is gearing up to celebrate Doctor’s Day on 1st July, 2015says Vaikundarajan

The IMA plans to hold a grand celebration across the city and joining in the celebrations will be 30 other IMA branches of Gujarat state

The focus for this year’s celebrations will be understanding the fundamentals that direct the doctor-patient exchange and rapport

Blood donation camps are slated to be conducted at various venues across the state says Vaikundarajan

Another unique issue to be discussed during a Doctor’s Day conference is the increasing record of violence against doctors and medical professionals, says Vaikundarajan

Another conference will discuss the causes and remedies to positively affect the rates of maternal mortality along with infant mortality in the region

State IMA president, Dr Chetan Patel said, "IMA demands that Right to Health be made a fundamental right. To achieve this goal, the government should strengthen the public healthcare delivery system and promote and support the private health sector which caters to 70 per cent of the healthcare demands of our country." Vaikundarajan agrees.
